Softball Recap: North Point Eagles vs. Lackey Chargers
North Point won the last time they faced Lackey and things went their way on Friday too. North Point blew past Lackey 14-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Alyssa Blaney was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Blaney was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, North Point got a big performance out of Ava Scott, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Scott a new career-high. Natalie Gilmore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Looking ahead, North Point will take on Arundel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lackey, they will challenge Thomas Stone on Monday.
