Basketball Recap: Tikigaq Finds Home Court Redemption Against Shishmaref

There's no place like home for Tikigaq, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on the Shishmaref Northern Lights with a sharp 69-48 win on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Harpooners' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Northern Lights are ranked 33rd).

Tikigaq's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Shishmaref, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Tikigaq does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shishmaref has already played their next game (against Buckland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
