Baseball Recap: Pleasant Home Comes Up Short

Pleasant Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the Baker Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Monday.

Pleasant Home saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wiggins, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Wiggins' first of the season.

Pleasant Home's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Baker, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Home will take on McKenzie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Baker, they will challenge Ponce De Leon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Baker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.7 runs per game this season.
