St. Charles East and Lake Park are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Fighting Saints will head out to take on the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, St. Charles East came up short against St. Charles North and fell 24-13. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the North Stars are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Lake Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 41-23 bruising from Glenbard North. That's two games in a row now that the Lancers have lost by exactly 18 points.

St. Charles East will have to keep a close watch on Niko Menos and Kendan Ratini, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lake Park's prior game. Menos picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD, while Ratini rushed for 79 yards.

St. Charles East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lake Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

St. Charles East didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lake Park in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
