Baseball Recap: Nimitz Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westfield on Tuesday, Nimitz came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 9-6 to the Mustangs on Friday. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 19-9.

Andrew Curtis led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Princeton Taylor was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Nimitz's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Westfield, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Nimitz has already played their next matchup (against Benjamin Davis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westfield also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Aldine.
