There's no place like home for South Brunswick, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Columbus Gators on Thursday, sneaking past 57-55. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

South Brunswick found their leader in sophomore Edward Young, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Daniels, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards.

Despite the loss, East Columbus still got an impressive performance from Rudy Jernigan, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 19 points and four steals. Kevon Stackhouse was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

South Brunswick's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for East Columbus, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. South Brunswick will take on West Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Columbus, they will square off against South Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
