Lakeview had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-7 to make it four. They fell 7-3 to the Chippewa Hills Warriors. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 15-3 to the Warriors when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Chippewa Hills, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games.
On Chippewa Hills' side, Ella Newman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those 18 strikeouts gave Newman a new career-high.
