Basketball Recap: Phillips Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Johnathan Duncan and Denari Stewart

Phillips lost against DePaul College Prep back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

Phillips' loss came despite strong showings from Denari Stewart and Johnathan Duncan. Stewart posted 15 points, while Duncan scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Johntae Duncan, who put up seven points.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for DePaul College Prep, the win was the ninth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Phillips has already played their next game, a 65-30 loss against Niles North on the 26th. As for DePaul College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-24 victory against Lane Tech on the 26th.
