Basketball Recap: Dos Pueblos Triumphs

Dos Pueblos's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 67-58 victory over the Ventura Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Cougars back in December of 2024, they had to take a 65-53 loss.

Ventura's loss came despite strong showings from Finn Fancher and Roman Chavarria. Fancher went 9 of 20 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds, while Chavarria went 8 for 10 on his way to 18 points and four steals. That's the most points Chavarria has posted since back in November of 2024. Harper Martinez was another key player, putting up six points and three blocks.

The win got Dos Pueblos back to even at 14-14. As for Ventura, they dropped their record down to 11-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Dos Pueblos nor Ventura have any future games scheduled.
