Baseball Recap: Strasburg Takes a Loss

Strasburg's last matchup with Brush could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. The Indians lost 13-1 to the Beetdiggers. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Beetdiggers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Strasburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RJ Weaver, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Brush, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Strasburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 loss against Eaton on the 2nd. As for Brush, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Common at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
