Baseball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Hunter Wolverines

For the second straight game, West will face off against Hunter. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

West took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over Hunter. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Joseph 'JJ' Martinez was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kingston Rillon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

West's victory bumped their record up to 3-20. As for Hunter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-19 record.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. West has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hunter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
