Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Find Success

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah hadn't done well against Hilbert recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Resorters walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Resorters.

Taylor Mersberger paced Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's offense, picking up five kills. Mersberger got some help from Trista Hassinger and her 13 assists. Finally, Lily McClurg kept Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Hilbert, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-25 record this season.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah will square off against Cedar Grove-Belgium at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilbert, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Ozaukee on the 11th.
