Omaha South waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Omaha Central Eagles. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Omaha South's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Omaha Central are ranked 29th).

Omaha South's one-goal win came courtesy of Kevin Gallarado, which was the first he's scored this season.

Omaha South's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Omaha Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Omaha South is set to take on their familiar foe Lincoln Southwest at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Omaha Central will face off against rival Gretna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
