Softball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Triumphs

Bruceville-Eddy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Florence Buffaloes. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bruceville-Eddy let Kimber Diaz and Avah Williams run wild. Diaz scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Williams went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Williams also got two hits, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Abby Reese, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Bruceville-Eddy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .875. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
