Soccer Game Preview: Colorado Academy vs. Roaring Fork

The Colorado Academy Mustangs will face off against the Roaring Fork Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Colorado Academy sitting on four straight wins and Roaring Fork on three.

Colorado Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Rifle get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Colorado Academy's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Their offense was hitting Rifle from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, Roaring Fork narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rocky Mountain Prep SMART 3-2. Roaring Fork found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Dennis Vargas-Herrera and Wesley Serrano were both handed yellow cards.

Roaring Fork's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for Colorado Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-3.

Colorado Academy skirted past Roaring Fork 1-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2016. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
