Volleyball Recap: Chadwick Takes a Loss

Chadwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Hondo Prep Kares. The Dolphins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kares apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Chadwick sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-11.

Chadwick's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rio Hondo Prep, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Chadwick will head out on the road to square off against Peninsula at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Arroyo on the 22nd.
