Basketball Recap: Thousand Oaks Takes a Loss

Thousand Oaks came up into this matchup off a tough 41-point loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Agoura Chargers by a score of 60-57 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lancers have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Agoura's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmad Razaqi, who posted 21 points and three steals. That's the most points Razaqi has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Klopp, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Thousand Oaks dropped their record down to 12-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Agoura, they moved to 13-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thousand Oaks will square off against Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thousand Oaks is facing Newbury Park at the right time seeing as Newbury Park is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Agoura, they will challenge Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Agoura is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
