Baseball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Continental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Miller City Wildcats, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Continental saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Bidlack, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Continental's loss dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Miller City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Continental will head out to challenge Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Miller City, they will challenge Marion Local at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
