Football Game Preview: The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles vs. St. Augustine Knights

The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the St. Augustine Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Christian School at Castle Hills has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 224 points over their last three matchups.

On Friday, The Christian School at Castle Hills took their game with ease, bagging a 72-26 win over Saint Mary's Hall. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Roman Stemmerding had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 255 yards and five TDs on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Ralston Burns was another key rusher, rushing for 108 yards and three scores on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: The Christian School at Castle Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 455 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-8, which was the final score in St. Augustine's tilt against Incarnate Word Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Angels are ranked 93rd).

The Christian School at Castle Hills' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for St. Augustine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for The Christian School at Castle Hills against St. Augustine when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
