Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian lost against Faith Christian back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougar lost to the Eagles on the road by a 58-42 margin. The Cougar have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Taylor, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 12 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Taylor is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joshua Daniel, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Faith Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian will square off against New Life Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Faith Christian has already played their next game (against Woodland Baptist Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
