Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rossview Hawks. Springfield were not able to make up for their defeat to Rossview from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Springfield's goal came courtesy of Justin Rubio Hernandez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rossview, they now have a winning record of 2-1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will face off against Hunters Lane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Springfield will need to watch out since Hunters Lane has now posted at least four goals in their last four contests. As for Rossview, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Rossview take on Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
