Buchanan won the last time they faced Clovis West and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Buchanan not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Clovis West between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Keira Nelson paced Buchanan's offense, picking up 18 kills. Nelson got some help from Avery Dedekian and her 20 assists. Dedekian was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 30-8. As for Clovis West, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 25-11 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Buchanan will face off against rival Clovis North at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clovis West is set to challenge their familiar foe Clovis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
