Basketball Recap: Elder Comes Up Short

Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wayne Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while the Warriors are ranked 90th).

Elder's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Wayne, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Elder will take on Bishop Verot at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wayne, they will square off against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
