Maurer made the most of the opportunity, scoring 22 points along with five steals. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-17. As for Southeast Career Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence will take on Cristo Rey St. Viator at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey St. Viator comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Southeast Career Tech, they will head out on the road to take on GV Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (GV Christian is ranked 85th, while Southeast Career Tech is ranked 97th).
