Football Game Preview: Rising Star Wildcats vs. Sidney Eagles + How To Watch

The Rising Star Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Sidney Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Rising Star challenged Blanket on Friday. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sidney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-34 defeat at the hands of Gustine. On the bright side, the 34- point performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring contest to date.

Sidney's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rising Star, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Rising Star against Sidney in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
