Basketball Recap: Parkview Takes a Loss

Parkview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 73-45 defeat at the hands of the Meadowcreek Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 111th).

Meadowcreek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayson Fleming out in front who went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points. Javon Armstrong was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Parkview's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Meadowcreek, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Parkview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-43 defeat against Berkmar on the 16th. As for Meadowcreek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-44 loss against Peachtree Ridge on the 17th.
