Baseball Game Preview: Dimond Lynx vs. South Anchorage Wolverines

Dimond hasn't had much luck against South Anchorage recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lynx will square off against the Wolverines at 5:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Dimond managed to slip by Service the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lynx lost 10-1 to the Cougars on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Lynx couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, South Anchorage faced Eagle River in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. The Wolverines fell 9-4 to the Wolves. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

South Anchorage saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Theriault, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Dimond's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8-2. As for South Anchorage, their loss dropped their record down to 20-3.

Dimond came up short against South Anchorage in their previous matchup on May 8th, falling 7-4. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
