Ottawa is 9-1 against Morris since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Morris will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Ottawa extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Pirates put the hurt on Coal City with a sharp 17-5 win.

Meanwhile, while Morris put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Streator. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Addy Hackett, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Ava Petersen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Morris' win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Ottawa, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.

Ottawa got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April against Morris by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
