Pope John Paul II had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Episcopal Knights get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Caden Amie, who gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks to keep Episcopal off the board.

On the hitting side, Blaze Rodriguez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Sammy Reynolds, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Pope John Paul II is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Episcopal, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-15 record.
