Softball Preview: Ware Shoals Hornets vs. Abbeville Panthers        
        
		
            The Ware Shoals Hornets will head out to  challenge the Abbeville Panthers  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Ware Shoals is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10  runs per game  this season.
Abbeville will  face off against  a team with plenty of momentum: Ware Shoals extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Hornets were the clear victors by  a  27-1 margin over McCormick. Considering the Hornets have won five contests by more than nine  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Sarah Vinson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Bella Davis was  incredible,  firing off three  home runs, eight  RBI,  and four  runs while going 3-for-3.  Selena Timms was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Ware Shoals  lost a few balls and  finished the game with five  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted  since  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of seven wins, Abbeville's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They came up short against  Dixie, falling  22-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Panthers have suffered  since March 17th.
 Abbeville now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Ware Shoals, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Ware Shoals suffered a grim  17-7 defeat to Abbeville  in their previous meeting  back in March. Can the Hornets avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
