Softball Game Preview: Eau Claire North Huskies vs. Menomonie Mustangs

The Eau Claire North Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Menomonie Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Eau Claire North has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Eau Claire North saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Grantsburg by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Menomonie came up short against Superior on Friday, falling 9-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost six in a row.

Eau Claire North has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Menomonie, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Eau Claire North skirted past Menomonie 5-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
