Baseball Recap: San Tan Foothills Sets Scoring Season-High Against ALA - Ironwood

San Tan Foothills scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 18-13 to the ALA - Ironwood Warriors. The Sabercats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Damen Eib and Thomas Pascuel stepped up to the plate in a big way. Eib went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Pascuel scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those two hits gave Eib a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layton McCombs, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: San Tan Foothills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

San Tan Foothills dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
