Basketball Recap: North Rockland Comes Up Short

North Rockland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 63-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 11 points.

Troy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kailyn Sterling out in front who went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Sterling has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Giana Renzi, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 18 points.

North Rockland's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

North Rockland will take on Ossining at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Troy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-35 defeat against Horseheads on the 30th.
