Volleyball Recap: New Berlin West Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

New Berlin West posted their closest victory since September 9th on Saturday. They skirted past the Howards Grove Tigers 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Willow Kumprey paced New Berlin West's offense, picking up ten kills. Kumprey got some help from Mikayla Martin and her 17 assists. Kumprey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the defeat, Howards Grove had strong showings from Kendall Cruz, who had 17 digs and four assists, and Brianne Vandoske, who had 11 assists. Brienna Bramstedt also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

New Berlin West's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Howards Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-10.

New Berlin West has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Greendale on the 7th. As for Howards Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Wauwatosa East on the 4th.
