After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arcadia, Monrovia was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Maranatha Minutemen 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since October 8, 2024.

Monrovia was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Monrovia's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Maranatha, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will take on Schurr at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maranatha, they will face off against Pasadena at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
