Basketball Recap: Camdyn Lawson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hanahan over Orangeburg-Wilkinson

Hanahan has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bruins earlier this season, when they won 52-43.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camdyn Lawson, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Tyson, who earned 11 points.

Hanahan's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Hanahan has already played their next contest, a 52-21 defeat against Oceanside Collegiate Academy on the 13th. Orangeburg-Wilkinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
