The Spring Grove Rockets will face off against the South Western Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Spring Grove's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
Spring Grove took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over Dallastown. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.

Davis Baum went supernova, throwing for 159 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and one touchdown. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Jordan Eisenhart was Baum's top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Spring Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Andrew Gerber and Eisenhart. Eisenhart has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Western played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against William Penn, falling 50-21. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Although South Western took the loss, they still got scores from Wyatt Carbaugh, Jacob Graham, and Brooklyn Calcutt.
Spring Grove pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games. As for South Western, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Spring Grove has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 246.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Western struggles in that department as they've been averaging 168 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Spring Grove lost to South Western at home by a decisive 26-9 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rockets, Bryce Graham (who threw for 220 yards and one TD while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
