Softball Recap: Immanuel Gets the Win

Immanuel posted their closest victory since March 16th on Tuesday. They skirted past the Exeter Monarchs 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ella Renney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.

At the plate, Immanuel's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Delgadillo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Addison Efird also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Immanuel's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Exeter, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-11.

Immanuel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Kerman on the 8th. As for Exeter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Washington Union on the 8th.
