Football Recap: Ramapo Takes a Loss

Ramapo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the White Plains Tigers. The Gryphons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Ramapo lost, don't look at Nahum Pierre. Despite the final result, he rushed for 247 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Pierre's longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.

Ramapo's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for White Plains, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Ramapo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-14 win against Yonkers Force [Gorton/Roosevelt/Yonkers Montessori Academy/Yonkers] on the 10th. As for White Plains, they have also already played their next contest, a 33-14 defeat against Yonkers Brave [Saunders Trades & Tech/Lincoln/Riverside/Palisade Prep] on the 11th.
