Dighton-Rehoboth Regional waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Bourne Canalmen as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Edy LaTour was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional got a massive performance out of Cam Cloonan, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and one double. Those five runs gave Cloonan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Horrocks, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Dighton-Rehoboth Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bourne only posted an OBP of .360.
