Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central suffered their closest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Oklahoma City S Storm by a score of 64-62. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Storm apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Oklahoma City S found their leader in sophomore Adam Leonard, who went 10 for 14 en route to 24 points. That's the most points Leonard has posted since back in December of 2024. Israel Fugett was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Oklahoma City S, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-22.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing McLain Science & Tech the next time they take the court. Oklahoma City S will head out to face McLain Science & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Central will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
