Richmond was the 2-1 winner over Lafayette Jefferson when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Bronchos on Saturday. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jazell James paced Richmond's offense, picking up five kills. James got some help from Aubrey Scalf and her 13 assists.

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-19 record this season.

Richmond and Lafayette Jefferson are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Red Devils will face off against Greenfield-Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette Jefferson, after both having extra time off, they and McCutcheon will shake off the rust and duke it out at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
