Volleyball Recap: Eastern View Comes Up Short

Eastern View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Courtland Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cyclones of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-8, 25-16.

Lauren Denham paced Eastern View's offense, picking up four kills. Denham got some help from Tatum Caparese and her three assists. Ella Souliyadeth controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eastern View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Courtland, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Eastern View is set to square off against their familiar foe James Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Courtland will face off against rival Culpeper County at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
