Baseball Recap: Natalia Takes a Loss

Natalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Cotulla Cowboys, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Natalia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leo Buentello, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Buentello is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Natalia's record now sits at 3-16. As for Cotulla, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natalia will head out to square off against Dilley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.44 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cotulla, they are taking a road trip to take on Crystal City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
