Baseball Recap: South Stokes Takes a Loss

North Stokes hit South Stokes with a four-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Sauras fell 5-1 to the Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-5 on Tuesday.

South Stokes saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Ingold, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for South Stokes and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for North Stokes, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

South Stokes has already played their next matchup, a 7-3 victory against Elkin on the 21st. As for North Stokes, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against North Surry on the 21st.
