Soccer Recap: Santa Barbara Comes Up Short

Santa Barbara lost against San Marcos back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Santa Barbara Dons came up short against the San Marcos Royals, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 618th, while the Royals are ranked 83rd).

Santa Barbara's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17-2. As for San Marcos, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5-4.

Santa Barbara does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Marcos, they will face off against Anaheim at 3:00 p.m. on February 12th. Anaheim's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
