Football Recap: South Fayette Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 24-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Moon Area Tigers. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, South Fayette saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aayden Wright rushed for 101 yards and one score on only nine carries. Those 101 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Wright.

South Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Moon Area, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

As of now, neither South Fayette nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
