Softball Preview: Millikan Rams vs. Compton Tarbabes
Millikan has gone a perfect 10-0 against Compton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. Millikan's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Compton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Millikan easily dispatched Lakewood last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Rams fell just short of Gahr by a score of 4-2 last Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Millikan got a good showing from Lauren Cantwell, who struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Cantwell has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
