Volleyball Recap: Coretta Scott King YWLA Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Coretta Scott King YWLA, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the South Atlanta Hornets by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Soaring Eagle also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Coretta Scott King YWLA got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 30-28.

Coretta Scott King YWLA's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for South Atlanta, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coretta Scott King YWLA will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Douglass at 6:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for South Atlanta, they will square off against Banneker at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
