Basketball Game Preview: Deltona Wolves vs. Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs

Two dominant guards in Xavier Cerrud and Anthony Hampton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Deltona Wolves will jump right back in to play the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Deltona saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against Legacy Charter, falling 83-62. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Eagles are ranked 218th).

Meanwhile, Flagler Palm Coast strolled past Eau Gallie with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-42.

Deltona has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Flagler Palm Coast, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Deltona came up short against Flagler Palm Coast in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, falling 67-61. Can Deltona avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
